The Salmonfly Hatch is lingering on in the Warm Springs to Trout Creek area of the Deschutes River. With the cooler weather this week,   they may be around for another week, or more. Even in areas where no Salmonflies are visible, the trout are still looking up for the big bugs. Flies that look like Salmonflies or Golden Stones are productive when fished under overhanging trees and in deeper water along the tall grass. The best pattern is the CDC Salmonfly invented by Mr. Rene Harrop.
